Installation Steps

Step 1: The refrigerator's power cord should be disconnected from the wall socket or the circuit breaker should be deactivated.

Step 2: The ice bucket should be taken out. The shut off arm located on the side of the D7824706Q ice maker assembly should be identified, and it should be lifted to the "Off" position.

Step 3: The electrical connector plug should be detached from the back wall of the freezer compartment, then the three screws that hold the ice maker assembly in place should be extracted.

Step 4: The ice maker assembly should be gently slid out of the freezer compartment.

Step 5: The new ice maker assembly should be positioned in the same manner as the old one was removed. The new ice maker assembly should be activated by pushing the shut off arm down into the "On" position.

Step 6: The electrical connector plug should be reconnected to the rear wall of the freezer. The ice maker assembly should be fastened using the new screws that were taken out in step 3.

Step 7: The ice bucket should be returned to its place beneath the ice dispenser.

Step 8: Power should be restored to your refrigerator and it should be verified that the new ice maker assembly is functioning correctly by checking if ice is being produced.
