Installation Steps

Step 1: The dryer top should be detached by loosening the two screws positioned at the rear of the dryer.

Step 2: The four screws surrounding the door opening should be taken out.

Step 3: The top panel should be gently raised and held open.

Step 4: The connector located on the left side of the motor should be unplugged, using needle nose pliers.

Step 5: The three screws found on the right side of the motor should be unscrewed with a nut driver.

Step 6: The black wire with the yellow stripe, situated beneath the motor, should be pulled through the support bracket.

Step 7: The motor should be lifted and extracted.

Step 8: The pulley assembly should be removed from the old motor and disposed of.

Step 9: The pulley assembly should be attached to the new motor and fastened using the three screws.

Step 10: The black wire with the yellow stripe should be fed back through the support bracket.

Step 11: The connector should be plugged into the left side of the motor.

Step 12: The motor should be inserted back into the dryer and secured with the four screws.

Step 13: The top panel should be closed and fastened with the two screws.

Step 14: The dryer should be reconnected to the wall outlet and the circuit breaker should be switched back on.
