Installation Steps

Step 1: The refrigerator should be disconnected from the power source and the water supply to the ice maker should be deactivated.

Step 2: The refrigerator door should be opened and the ice dispenser cover, which is generally located inside the freezer door near the top, should be identified.

Step 3: The screws that hold the ice dispenser cover to the freezer door should be taken out using a Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 4: The old dispenser cover should be extracted from its position on the freezer door and placed aside.

Step 5: The new WR17X11497 GE Refrigerator Ice Dispenser Crusher Cover should be inserted into the same position.

Step 6: The new crusher cover should be fastened with the screws that were removed in Step 3.

Step 7: The refrigerator should be reconnected to the power source and the water supply should be restored.

Step 8: The functionality of the new ice dispenser crusher cover should be verified by pressing the dispenser lever. If the dispenser operates correctly, ice should start dispensing. If not, the ice crusher cover should be inspected for proper placement.

Please be aware that these instructions serve as general guidance and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if one is available.
