The Broan SV08543 Range Hood 8" Round Damper/Duct Adapter has the benefit of directing exhaust air over the hood into an 8-inch round duct, and the backdraft motion is regulated by the built-in damper. When air is pulled upwards, the adapter connects with the outlet of the hood and the ducts and forms a closed channel that directs the moving air outside and prevents any reverse flow when the blower is switched off. It fits in the exhaust port of the appliance to the round duct connection and fits around fasteners and flanges in a method that allows airflow to always be directed through the ventilation system.
