The Broan S99010366 Range Hood Aluminum Grease Filter EI5936SS is a removable filtration component that traps oily particles in the cooking vapours when air is passed through the appliance. Its function is to trap airborne grease to assist in safeguarding the internal parts of the hood and to keep the air flowing out of the exhaust cleaner. The filter is effective because it collects and retains grease with its folded aluminium surface when air is ventilated through it. It is mounted in the filter slot of the range hood, and is held by the special latch or frame.
