The Bosch 00798523 Refrigerator Pan Lid envelops the pan assembly to trap and operate the water gathered whenever the appliance is in the defrost mode. It is attached to the pan top with mounting controls to create a closed tank into which the meltwater is directed to the evaporator drain system. The lid is mounted in the lower part of the interior of the refrigerator and is aligned with other structural features, creating an ordered enclosure that facilitates the right direction of the drainage routing and reduces splashing or evaporation of water in normal defrosting and cooling procedures.
