The Blomberg 268600008 Range Gas Re-Ignitor detects flame loss and initiates spark generation to produce combustion at the burner again. When the flame is detected to be put out, it will generate a regulated electrical release to the gas valve and ignition electrode, triggering another ignition process. It is mounted next to the burner assembly and is aligned with the ignition system components and is part of the control and safety circuits of the appliance which supports maintaining the flames and maintaining orderly operation of the appliance during regular cooking operations.
