Product Description

The General Electric WE3X87 Dryer Drum Front Slide Bearing supports and stabilizes the front edge of the rotating drum by providing a low-friction contact surface during operation. Installed at the front drum support area within the dryer cabinet, it positions itself between the drum rim and the stationary holder to maintain aligned rotation. Its configuration allows a smooth interface contact while guiding drum movement under load conditions. Integrated into the drum support system, it adds to rotational stability, reduces mechanical damage and provides consistent movement throughout drying cycles and overall system operation.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The power cord should be disconnected from the wall outlet and the drum should be detached from the power source to avert risks of electric shocks.

Step 2: The screws securing the bearing plate located at the back of the dryer should be taken out using a Phillip's head screwdriver.

Step 3: The bearing should be extracted from the dryer and disposed of.

Step 4: The new GE WE3X87 Rear Drum Slide Bearing should be inserted into the frame of the dryer.

Step 5: The bearing should be fastened in position with the screws that were taken out in step two.

Step 6: The drum should be reattached to the power source and the power cord should be inserted back into the wall outlet.
