Installation Steps

Step 1: The power cord should be disconnected from the wall outlet and the drum should be detached from the power source to avert risks of electric shocks.

Step 2: The screws securing the bearing plate located at the back of the dryer should be taken out using a Phillip's head screwdriver.

Step 3: The bearing should be extracted from the dryer and disposed of.

Step 4: The new GE WE3X87 Rear Drum Slide Bearing should be inserted into the frame of the dryer.

Step 5: The bearing should be fastened in position with the screws that were taken out in step two.

Step 6: The drum should be reattached to the power source and the power cord should be inserted back into the wall outlet.

Step 7: The dryer should be verified to confirm that the new bearing operates correctly.
