The Amana 59214756 Microwave Control Panel Assembly-Touch 50 operates touch inputs using capacitive membrane circuitry of the appliance. It interprets contact on overlay icons using conductive traces that convert signals to digital commands to operate cooking features, time features and power levels using the main control board interface. Status indicators are lit by LED segments, and selections are confirmed by tactile feedback during programming sequences. It is mounted on the microwave console as the front overlay membrane that sticks to the frame of the chassis, making it a part of the user interface for easy command input and display.
