The Amana 59134300 Oven Antenna Cover protects the temperature probe sensor against food splatter during the baking cycles. It wraps the tip of the antenna so that the signals can be clear, but at the same time, the heat can be conducted and read the correct internal temperature during the process of cooking. The slotted cover allows free circulation of steam and air surrounding the probe shaft, such that the sensor reacts consistently without direct contact with the contents of the cavity. It is situated on the probe antenna at the rear wall port of the appliance and threads or clips into the sensor assembly to ensure reliable temperature monitoring.
