The LG AJU73213301 Washer Water Inlet Valve Assembly regulates the flow of water into the appliance during fill cycles. It is mounted at the back of the connection point of the appliance where it is then connected to the incoming hot and cold water supply lines and the internal inlet ports. The solenoid-driven valves are opened and closed according to the electronic signals provided by the control board to the exact amount of water required to be used in various wash steps.
Step 1: The washer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet and the water flow to the washer should be stopped. The valves situated at the rear of the washer should be shut.
Step 2: The two screws that hold the top cover of the washer in place should be identified and taken out. The top cover should be gently lifted off, ensuring that no plastic tabs are damaged.
Step 3: The hoses linked to the water inlet fill valve assembly should be detached. A rag or towel should be advisable to have nearby to catch any residual water.
Step 4: Any screws fastening the water inlet fill valve assembly to the washer’s frame should be unscrewed.
Step 5: The assembly should be removed and disposed of.
Step 6: The new AJU73213301 LG Washer Water Inlet Fill Valve Assembly should be placed into the area vacated by the old assembly. It should be secured by reinstalling the screws.
Step 7: The hoses should be reconnected to the new water inlet fill valve assembly.
Step 8: The top cover of the washer should be reinstalled and the two screws should be tightened.
Step 9: The water supply valves should be restored and the washer should be reconnected to the electrical outlet.
