The Frigidaire A00099903 Dishwasher Door Latch is fitted on the inside of the door to lock it in place when it is running and to make sure it is locked properly to start the wash cycle. This is a mechanical locking system that interacts with the door strike to ensure that the door is closed securely as the machine is operating. It does this by activating the internal switch that indicates the control board to begin the cycle after the door is properly latched.
