Installation Steps

Step 1: Begin by having your dishwasher disconnected from the power source and having the water supply valve turned off.

Step 2: To reach the P1-Interlock, have the lower panel of the dishwasher detached. For a standard dishwasher, a Phillips-head screwdriver will be required to have the screws securing the panel taken out. If a built-in dishwasher is possessed, an adjustable wrench should be utilized to have the mounting screws unscrewed.

Step 3: After the panel is taken off, have the P1-Interlock identified, situated at the lower section of the dishwasher. Its unique shape and wiring should make it easily recognizable.

Step 4: Have the existing P1-Interlock unplugged from the wiring harness.

Step 5: Have the new P1-Interlock placed by having the wiring attached to the appropriate terminals. Ensure that the connections are properly tightened.

Step 7: Have the water supply valve reactivated and the dishwasher reconnected to the power source.
