The Whirlpool 814323 set comprises five burner grate pads constructed solely for Whirlpool gas cooktops. These little, black pads attach to the underside of the burner grates, which are the metal racks that maintain your pots and pans over the burners. The pads serve two purposes: they act as an adequate buffer between the great and the stove surface. For instance, they prevent scratches and scuffs that result from moving the grates back and forth while in operation. This helps to maintain your cooktop's general appearance.
