The Speed Queen 800468P Washer Pressure Switch measures the amount of water in the drum and uses this to regulate the fill cycle. The main control board receives a signal from a switch as the air in a hose is trapped when the tub is filled with water, which closes the water inlet valve. This element is most commonly placed within the control console, and it leads to the tub through an air hose.
