Product Description

The Whirlpool 74008265 Range Upper High Limit Thermostat is used to control the temperature in the cooktop. It is mainly used to cut off the electricity supply to the radiators in case the temperatures become unsafe. The thermostat is based on a bimetallic sensor that reacts to the temperature that is, it opens or closes the circuit accordingly. It fits into the cavity assembly of the oven, which has the wiring harness attached and is attached to specific mounting points. It allows the prevention of overheating and safe operation and prevents the internal components from being damaged by controlling excessive heat.
