Product Description

The Whirlpool 74004053 Range Top Burner Igniter is a spark generating component that triggers the gas to explode into a flame. Its function is to produce an electrical spark, which illuminates the gas when a burner is switched on. The igniter works by producing a high voltage spark at the end of the burner whenever the control is switched on, which will ensure instant ignition of the gas flow. It is installed on the cooktop surface and it is placed next to the burner cap during assembly or service.
