The Greenwald Industries Inc. 68-1174-32-888 Coin Operated Laundry Lock & Key is a component used to regulate access to coin compartments or service panels. It operates by triggering a keyed locking mechanism that secures the compartment until authorized access is provided. It is placed on laundry machine doors or service housings and ensures controlled entry for maintenance or coin collection purposes. The component is used in coin-operated washers and dryers in laundromats and shared laundry facilities where secure access, and tamper resistance are required for routine operation and servicing.
Step 1: The current Greenwald Industries coin operated laundry lock is detached. If the lock is fastened with screws, a Phillips head screwdriver is employed to take them out.
Step 2: A flat blade knife is utilized to detach the old lock. Caution is exercised to avoid harming the door around the lock.
Step 3: The new lock is positioned, then fastened using the screws provided.
Step 4: The lock’s keyway is aligned with the new key, and then the key is inserted.
Step 5: The key is rotated to unlock it. Confirmation that it is secured is made by turning the key once more to lock it.
Step 6: Multiple tests on the new lock are conducted to verify its proper operation.
