Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect and Take Apart the Dryer Begin by having your dryer disconnected from the electrical outlet. Following this, the top panel of the dryer will need to be detached. To achieve this, a putty knife should be placed into the slots on either side and the top panel should be carefully lifted off.

Step 2: Extract the Drum and Belt After the top panel has been removed, access to the drum will be gained. The drum should be withdrawn from the dryer, and the belt should come along with it. Now the old belt can be taken out. The rolled shape of the belt should be maintained as it may be necessary for reinstallation later.

Step 3: Place the new 661570V Whirlpool Dryer Drum Belt With the old belt removed, the new one can now be positioned. The new belt should be taken and encircled around the dryer drum. Once the belt is wrapped around the drum, the rolled form of the old belt can be utilized to imitate the same arrangement in the new belt. The belt should navigate around the pulleys and idler to complete its loop.

Step 4: Reconstruct the Dryer After the new belt has been positioned, the dryer can be reconstructed.
