Installation Steps

Step 1: The LG dryer is disconnected from the wall outlet and the power cord is detached.

Step 2: The LG dryer door is accessed and the screws found on both sides of the door are taken out. The top of the dryer is slightly lifted back and the upper panel of the dryer cabinet is taken off.

Step 3: The door switch (6601EL3001A) assembly is unlinked from the main control board of the dryer by the two wires that are attached to it being removed.

Step 4: The screws securing the switch to the door are removed, and then the switch is gently taken off the door.

Step 5: The new door switch is placed, with the two wires being reconnected to the main control board. The switch is firmly attached to the door using the screws.

Step 6: The top panel of the dryer cabinet is lowered and secured with the screws.

Step 7: The power cord is reconnected to the wall socket and the functionality of the new door switch is verified.
