The Whirlpool 63580 serves as a support for anyone who finds themselves without a built-in fabric softener dispenser within their washing machine, or if the one they have is broken and beyond repair. This useful element is generally compatible with many washers produced since 1984, particularly those with a cabinet width of 24 to 27 inches. It sits easily on top of the agitator in the washing machine. During the wash cycle, simply fill the dispenser with the quantity you want of liquid fabric softener. The dispenser then maintains the softener until the appropriate rinse cycle, at which time it distributes the fabric softener into the washing drum, coating the clothes and leaving them soft and static free.
