LG 5989JA0002N Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly Kit work by drawing water from the inlet valve, freezing it in the mold and then dispensing solid ice cubes into the storage bin. There is a thermostat that control the temperature and when it become too low, the heating element melts the ice before it is ejected by the ejector arm. This way, there is a constant supply of fresh ice without having to rely on manual operations. It is compatible with some refrigerators and can either fix or improve the ice-making capability of the appliance.
