The Frigidaire 5304443219 Refrigerator Defrost Drain Pan Kit is designed to catch and dispose excess water during the defrosting process of the refrigerator. It operates the water that has evaporated from the evaporator coils is collected once the frost is removed, and then is channeled to the drain pan. The pan then either evaporates the water or directs it through the drain system. It prevents the accumulation of moisture within the refrigerator to avoid chances of leakage or mold formation.
