Product Description

The LG 5301EL1001J Heating Element Assembly is used to work by using electrical energy to produce heat, which is required to dry clothes in the dryer. The dryer is switched on, an electric current passes through the heating coils producing the required heat. The control mechanism helps to regulate the temperature and avoid burning up the bulb while at the same time maintaining the optimal brightness. Installation Steps

Step 1: The power from your LG dryer is disconnected and the 5301EL1001J Heater Element Assembly, which is situated beneath the drum adjacent to the bulkhead, is identified.

Step 2: The drum is carefully maneuvered away from the bulkhead to gain access to the rear side of the Heater Element Assembly.

Step 3: The two wiring leads that are attached to the Heater Element Assembly are detached.

Step 4: The screws securing the old assembly are taken out using a Phillips-head screwdriver.

Step 5: The old Heater Element Assembly is extracted from its compartment and disposed of.

Step 6: The surrounding area is cleared of any dust, lint, or debris prior to positioning the new Heater Element Assembly.

Step 7: The new Heater Element Assembly is inserted into its compartment, making sure it’s firmly fastened with the screws that were previously removed from the old assembly.

Step 8: The two wiring leads are reattached to the new Heater Element Assembly.

Step 9: The drum is repositioned against the bulkhead, ensuring that the connections stay intact.

Step 10: The power cord is reconnected and the dryer is turned on to verify the functionality of the new Heater Element Assembly.
