Product Description

The LG 5220FR2006H Washer Water Inlet Valve Assembly regulates the flow of hot water in the washing process. It opens when activated to let water into the washer. It ceases to operate once the desired level is attained to avoid spilling over. This is used in maintaining the right water temperature for the cleaning and washing of fabrics. Durability increases the longevity of the structure and, therefore, requires minimal maintenance.

Installation Steps

Step 1: The top cover of your washer should be identified. Depending on your specific washing machine model, it might be positioned on the side or at the rear. A flat-blade screwdriver should be utilized to carefully lift the cover off.

Step 2: The hot water valve should be found and the water supply hose should be detached from it. Locking pliers should be employed to loosen the clamp on the hose and the hose should be gently pulled away from the valve.

Step 3: The screws securing the valve should be removed and the valve should be carefully taken out from the washing machine.

Step 4: The new valve should be installed in its place and the screws should be reinserted.

Step 5: The water supply hose should be reattached to the valve and the hose clamp should be secured using locking pliers.

Step 6: The water supply should be restored and your washing machine should be reconnected to the electrical outlet.

Step 7: The functionality of the new valve should be verified by running a laundry load and inspecting for any leaks.

Well done – your LG Washer Hot Water Inlet Valve (Part # 5220FR2006H) has been successfully replaced!
