Installation Steps

Step 1: Power to the microwave is to be disconnected by turning off the breaker in your home’s breaker box.

Step 2: A Phillips head screwdriver is to be utilized to take out the screws that hold the wall vent cover to the wall. The screws are to be kept in a safe place.

Step 3: The vent cover is to be carefully reached inside and detached from the wall. It is to be set aside and the condition of the damper is to be checked. If it appears damaged or worn, replacement is necessary.

Step 4: The two screws that secure the old damper within the duct are to be unscrewed and then it is to be extracted.

Step 5: The new damper is to be positioned exactly as the old one was and it is to be fastened with the screws.

Step 6: The wall vent cover is to be gently replaced and secured using the screws.

Step 7: Power at the breaker box is to be restored, then the microwave is to be tested to confirm that the ventilation system is operating as intended.

Please remember that these instructions are to serve as general guidance and should always be referenced alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
