The White Rodgers 47D01U-843 Refrigerator Universal Heat Pump Defrost Control uses temperature and time to control the defrost cycle to avoid frost, accumulation on the evaporator coils. It is mounted in the control compartment of the refrigerator and is linked to the sensors, the compressor and the defrost heater via the wiring system. The control turns on the defrost heater when necessary, so that it can remove the frost effectively without interfering with normal cooling.
