Installation Steps

Step 1: Prior to commencing, it should be verified that the dryer is powered down.

Step 2: The dryer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 3: The front panel of the dryer should be detached. This panel is held in place by two screws at the top and two additional screws at the bottom.

Step 4: The top panel of the dryer should be taken off. It is affixed with four screws located at the back corners.

Step 5: After the top panel is removed, the blower drive motor should be identified. It can be found on the right side towards the back of the dryer.

Step 6: The wiring harness should be unplugged from the motor. A pair of needle-nose pliers might need to be utilized to detach the clip securing it.

Step 7: The four screws that secure the motor should be taken out.

Step 8: The motor should be gently extracted from its housing and placed aside.

Step 9: Your new 4681EL1008A LG Dryer Blower Drive Motor should be retrieved and positioned into the housing. It should ensure that the wiring harness aligns properly with the connector.

Step 10: The motor should be fastened using the four screws.

Step 11: The wiring harness should be reconnected to the motor.
