Installation Steps

Step 1: The appliance should be disconnected from the power source and the screws that attach the control panel to the washer should be taken out.

Step 2: With the Phillips head screwdriver, the screws that secure the lock-cam should be removed.

Step 3: The old lock-cam should be gently taken out and put aside.

Step 4: The new lock-cam should be positioned into the washer, ensuring the locking tab points in the correct direction (toward the back of the machine).

Step 5: The new lock-cam should be fastened using the Phillips head screwdriver. A flathead screwdriver may be necessary to ensure the lock-cam is correctly seated.

Step 6: If desired, a utility knife should be used to trim away any excess plastic around the locking tab (optional).

Step 7: The control panel should be reattached to the washer by reinserting the original screws.

Step 8: The appliance should be reconnected to the power source and the functionality of the new lock-cam should be verified.
