Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect the Washer - Prior to initiating any repair work on the LG washer, it should ensure that it is disconnected from the electrical source.

Step 2: Detach the Top Panel - A flat-head screwdriver should be employed to unscrew the rear panel of the washer, which will reveal the top panel. The top panel should be gently lifted and set aside.

Step 3: Identify the Gasket - After the top panel has been detached, the old gasket will be able to be identified. It is situated beneath the rim at the front of the washer.

Step 4: Extract the Old Gasket - A flat-head screwdriver should be utilized to loosen the screws that secure the old gasket to the washer. Once all screws are taken out, the old gasket can be proceeded to be extracted from the appliance.

Step 5: Position the New Gasket - The new LG 4036ER4001F washer gasket should be taken and aligned with the rim of the washer. The same screws that secured the old gasket should be utilized to fasten the new gasket in position.

Step 6: Reattach the Top Panel - After the new gasket is in place, the top panel of the washer should be reaffixed using the screws that were previously removed.

Step 7: Reconnect the Washer - Once all repairs are finalized, the LG washer should be reconnected to the power source and a test should be conducted to ensure the new gasket is operating properly.
