Installation Steps

Step 1: Disconnect the Dishwasher and Clear its Contents.

Step 2: Detach the Lower Panel and Detergent Dispenser Cover. Initially, the three screws securing the lower panel should be found and taken out. A flashlight may be necessary for locating and accessing them. Once the screws are taken out, the panel should be lifted and removed. Subsequently, the two screws that secure the detergent dispenser cover should be identified and extracted. Utilizing the flashlight might assist in locating and accessing these screws.

Step 3: Identify and Extract the Old Seal Gasket. After the panel and dispenser cover have been removed, the old seal gasket should now be seen. Typically, it is situated along the lower edge of the door. With a putty knife or flathead screwdriver, the old seal gasket should be gently pried up and extracted.

Step 4: Fit the New Seal Gasket. The new seal gasket should be taken and placed around the door's edge where the previous one was situated. It should be confirmed that the gasket is entirely seated, then a putty knife or screwdriver should be utilized to firmly press the gasket into position.

Step 5: Reattach the Lower Panel and Detergent Dispenser Cover. The lower panel should be reinstalled, followed by the detergent dispenser cover. It should ensure that the screws are placed back in their original locations.

Step 6: Verify the New Seal Gasket. Once the seal gasket and screws have been replaced, the dishwasher should be reconnected to power and turned on to verify that the new seal is functioning properly.

The LG 3920ED4009B seal gasket has now been successfully swapped. Should any issues be encountered during this procedure, an authorized repair technician should be reached out to for help.

Please note that these instructions serve as general guidance and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if one is available.
