The White Rodgers 37C73U-173 Water Heater Gas Valve and Temperature Control regulates the amount of gas flow and water temperature to make that the heating, performance is consistent. It is mounted on the water heater's gas supply line and is attached to the burner assembly and temperature sensor. The control knob can be turned to control the flow of gas so as to set the temperature accurately and safely.
