The Frigidaire 3205241 Dryer Spring Idler ensures the drive belt is properly pressed by using the controlled force on the idler pulley, allowing the drum to rotate freely. It is mounted on a swiveled bracket to the dryer chassis and is placed facing the motor pulley and drive belt. The spring is set to take in mechanical load and hold a constant tension. It works in tandem with the drum, motor and the belt system and assists in running regular drying cycles, controls the placement of the belt, make the rotation of the appliance.
