The Frigidaire 316238202 Range Infinite Switch controls the amount of heat produced by a surface cooking element on the appliance. It operates by connecting the burner circuit and switching the power on and off at different intervals as the control knob is rotated, and is to modulate the power which is fed to the burner by changing the electrical resistance with a stepped control system. It is mounted at the back of the control panel of the range, and it is aligned to the compatible knob and electrical harness.
