Installation Steps

Step 1: Your dryer should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: Your dryer should be moved out and positioned on a level surface where all sides are easily reachable.

Step 3: The top panel of the dryer should be taken off. It is secured by two screws. A small flathead screwdriver should be utilized to take out the screws.

Step 4: The drum should be extracted from the dryer by loosening the two 5/16” nuts located at the rear of the appliance with the nut driver.

Step 5: The existing glide kit's length and width should be measured. Precise measurements should be obtained to determine the correct size kit to buy.

Step 6: The new 306508 Whirlpool Dryer Front Glide Kit should be acquired.

Step 7: Any wiring linked to the old glide kit should be detached. Needle-nose pliers should be employed to take out the old glide kit and set it aside.

Step 8: The wiring should be attached to the new glide kit.

Step 9: The new glide kit should be positioned appropriately. Confirmation should be made that its angle aligns with that of the previous one.

Step 10: With the 5/16” nut driver, the two screws should be reinstalled to fasten the new glide kit securely.

Step 11: The drum should be reinserted into the dryer. It should be fastened with the two 5/16” nuts.

Step 12: The top panel should be reattached and the screws should be tightened.

Step 13: The power cord should be reconnected to the electrical outlet.

Step 14: A test should be run on the dryer to verify that everything functions correctly.
