The Packard 22230 Thermocouple W/Fitting 30" is a sensor safety component used in gas-fired appliance systems to detect flame presence and produce a low-voltage electrical signal based on heat exposure. It is installed at the burner assembly inside the combustion chamber where the thermocouple tip is positioned directly in the flame path. Measuring 30 inches in length and supplied with a mounting fitting, it generates electrical output from a heated metal and sends the signal through its lead to the gas control system for flame monitoring.
