Installation Steps

Step 1: The power cord should be disconnected from your LG Washer and the water supply valves should be turned off for safety.

Step 2: The washer's lid should be lifted and any objects inside the drum should be taken out.

Step 3: The front boot gasket clamp assembly located at the front of the washer, directly below the central agitator, should be identified.

Step 4: A large flathead screwdriver should be positioned at the center of the gasket’s clamp and the clamp should be carefully levered open.

Step 5: The old gasket should be gently pulled out from the opening and it should be disposed of.

Step 6: The new front boot gasket should be placed into the opening and pressed down completely until it is securely fitted.

Step 7: The gasket’s clamp should be firmly closed using a pair of pliers to guarantee a snug fit.

Step 8: The power cord should be reconnected to the washer and the water supply valves should be switched back ON.

Step 9: The washer should be operated to verify that your new front boot gasket is installed correctly and is functioning properly.
