The Frigidaire 297216019 Refrigerator Temperature Control Thermostat measures the temperature of the interior cabinet and adjusts compressor and evaporator fans according to the desired cooling temperatures. It is fitted in the refrigerator control housing and interfaces with the main wiring harness and control module by use of multi-pin terminals. It contacts with the thermostat open circuits depending on the temperature sensed and in coordination with defrost and compressor control logic. It controls the cooling requests and dormant time in accordance with changes in temperature to maintain a constant temperature in the appliance.
