Installation Steps

Step 1: Your refrigerator should be disconnected from the electrical outlet.

Step 2: The freezer door should be opened and the evaporator cover situated in the upper-right corner should be found. The cover should be removed.

Step 3: Using a nut driver, the four screws that hold the evaporator fan motor to the evaporator housing should be taken out.

Step 4: The fan motor should be carefully lifted from the housing and set aside.

Step 5: The wiring harness should be detached from the rear of the dispenser module.

Step 6: The three screws found on the upper section of the dispenser module should be removed and the plastic cover should be taken off.

Step 7: The two screws situated on the sides of the dispenser module should be taken out.

Step 8: The dispenser module should be gently lifted out and the new 242074223 Frigidaire Dispenser Module should be installed in its place.

Step 9: The dispenser module should be fastened using the two screws that were previously removed and the plastic cover should be reattached.

Step 10: The wiring harness should be connected to the new module.

Step 11: The evaporator fan motor should be reinserted and secured with the four screws.

Step 12: The evaporator cover should be replaced and the freezer door should be closed.

Step 13: Your refrigerator should be reconnected to the electrical outlet and it is now ready for operation.
