The Frigidaire 241885901 Refrigerator Filter Button Release secures the water filter during installation of the appliance. It works through a spring-assisted push-button mechanism that disconnect the filter locking assembly when pressed, allowing the water filter cartridge to be removed smoothly from the housing. The button is installed within the refrigerator water filter compartment, near the upper interior section or grill-mounted filter housing.
