Installation Steps

Step 1: The water supply to your refrigerator should be turned off. Prior to initiating any maintenance on your refrigerator, it is vital to ensure that the water supply is turned off. The shutoff valve for the water should be positioned near the refrigerator and is typically turned off by rotating it clockwise.

Step 2: The water line should be detached from the valve. After the water is turned off, the water line should be detached from the valve. A pair of wrenches should be utilized to loosen the compression nut that secures the water line and the line should be extracted.

Step 3: The old S/A I/M tube and inlet valve should be taken out. With a screwdriver, the mounting screws securing the S/A I/M tube and inlet valve should be unscrewed. After the screws are removed, the old valve should be extracted from the refrigerator.

Step 4: The new S/A I/M tube and inlet valve should be positioned. After the old valve has been removed, the new valve should be placed in the same position and the mounting screws should be fastened with your screwdriver.

Step 5: The water line should be reattached to the valve. To accomplish this, a pair of pliers should be employed to secure the compression nut onto the water line.

Please remember, these instructions are served as general guidance and should always be utilized alongside the manufacturer's manual, if available.
