The Frigidaire 216954222 Freezer Compressor Controller is used to regulate the compressor motor inside the appliance on and off and allows the cooling cycle to start. It is mounted directly on or adjacent to the compressor terminals of the sealed system compartment and is electrically connected between the electrical supply and the windings of the compressor of the freezer. The controller has relay and overload protection components that control the flow of current and safeguard the compressor when starting of the appliance.
