Installation Steps

Step 1: The water supply to your washer should be turned off. The shut-off valves behind the washer, generally beneath the sink, should be located. They should be rotated clockwise to shut them off.

Step 2: The hot and cold water faucets should be activated to relieve pressure in the lines and expel any leftover water from the washer.

Step 3: The hot and cold water hoses should be detached from the rear of the washing machine.

Step 4: The screws from the clips that secure the old water inlet fill valve should be extracted using the Phillips head screwdriver.

Step 5: The old valve should be removed from the washing machine.

Step 6: Masking or electrical tape should be wrapped around the threads of the new 205613 Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet Fill Valve to prevent leaks.

Step 7: The new fill valve should be inserted into the washer and fastened with the clips.

Step 8: A wrench or pliers should be employed to tighten the nuts that attach the new valve to the washer.

Step 9: The hot and cold water hoses should be reconnected to the back of the washing machine.

Step 10: The water supply to the washer should be restored.

Step 11: The new water inlet fill valve should be verified by running a cycle in the washer.

Step 12: Any excess water or debris that may have been left during the installation should be cleared away.

Well done! The 205613 Whirlpool Washer Water Inlet Fill Valve has been effectively substituted.
