The Speed Queen 205547P Washer Valve controls the flow of hot and cold water into the tub during fill cycles. It works on the basis of electrically activated solenoids opening and closing internal passages to control the entry of water based on the requirements of the cycle. The valve is fitted to the back panel of the cabinet of the washer and is connected directly to the incoming water supply lines and internal fill hoses. It aids in the controlled intake of water, proper mixing of temperature settings, and the consistency of filling performance of the appliance.
