Installation Steps

Step 1: The washer and dryer are to be disconnected from all power sources and the circuit breaker in your breaker box is to be deactivated to eliminate electricity to the appliance.

Step 2: The rear access panel of the washer and dryer is to be taken off. The lead-in cord will be located behind this panel.

Step 3: The current cord is to be severed at the location where it enters the housing.

Step 4: 1/4 inch of insulation is to be removed from the end of the new cord utilizing a wire stripper.

Step 5: The new cord is to be attached to the wiring within the washer and dryer. It is to be ensured that the white and green wires are linked to their respective terminals.

Step 6: The new cord is to be fastened to the housing using stainless steel clamps. After completing this step, it is to be verified that all screws are securely tightened.

Step 7: After the new lead-in cord is installed, the access panel is to be replaced and the washer and dryer are to be reconnected to the outlet. The circuit breaker is to be reactivated and the appliance is to be tested prior to usage.
