Installation Steps

Step 1: The Speed Queen Washer is disconnected from the electrical outlet and the water supply is turned off.

Step 2: The back panel of the washer is taken off, which is secured by two screws that can be removed using a Phillips screwdriver.

Step 3: The top lid is raised and the tensioner lever spring is found, positioned on the left side of the drum.

Step 4: The wire ends of the spring are detached from the slots in the belt pulley, found on the right side of the drum.

Step 5: A pair of needle nose pliers is employed to extract the original spring.

Step 6: The new 202032 Speed Queen Washer Idler Lever Spring W/Silencer is inserted, ensuring the wire ends are connected to the slots in the belt pulley.

Step 7: The spring is secured so that it remains fixed and does not shift.

Step 8: The back panel of the washer is reattached using the two screws that were previously removed.

Step 9: The water supply is restored and the washer is reconnected to the electrical outlet.
