Product Description
The Robertshaw 1951-536 Thermopile produces a low electrical voltage when heat is applied to it by a pilot flame. It provides a constant electrical signal to the gas control system, depending on the temperature, and is connected to transform thermal energy into a direct current output. When replacing a furnace or a water heater assembly, it is installed close to the pilot burner and generates a voltage during heating by the pilot flame, which is used to cause the operation of control circuits and flame sensing.
