The Robertshaw Controls/uniline 1950-001 Pilot Thermo-Couple/Pile generates a millivolt electrical output when a standing pilot flame is present. It is attached at the pilot burner assembly, and the sensing tip is placed directly in the pilot flame, and the two-lead connectors are attached to the gas control valve. The thermopile combines several thermocouple junctions to enhance the voltage output and connects to the control system to allow self-powered functionality. It maintains controlled gas flow and stable ignition conditions during operation supporting normal ignition cycles and regular heating system operation
