Installation Steps

Step 1: The washer is disconnected from the power source.

Step 2: The water supply valves situated on the wall behind the washer are turned off.

Step 3: The current drain hose is taken off from the washer.

Step 4: The hose is detached from the wall drain pipe.

Step 5: A bucket is positioned beneath the wall drain pipe to collect any water that may spill.

Step 6: The new washer drain hose is placed into the wall drain pipe.

Step 7: The drain hose is fastened by tightening the nut on the wall drain pipe.

Step 8: The free end of the hose is attached to the bottom of the washer.

Step 9: The water supply valves located on the wall are activated.

Step 10: The washer is reconnected to the electrical outlet.

Step 11: The new washer drain hose is verified by setting the washer to the spin cycle and allowing it to operate for a few minutes.

Step 12: The area under the washer is inspected for any signs of leaks.

Step 13: If no leaks are detected, the drain hose replacement process is finished.

Step 14: If a leak is observed, the hose is disconnected from the wall drain pipe, the nut is modified as needed, the hose is reconnected, and the test cycle is repeated.
