The Whirlpool 12001324 Dryer Air Duct Housing Kit is used to direct airflow of the blower to the exhaust system during dryer cycles. The mechanism it works by is that the heat inside the duct is directed by passing the warm air into the duct and is pushed outward to remove moisture in the clothes. The assembly is fitted within the dryer cabinet, to be in line with the blower wheel and outlet. The placement provides easy air circulation, constant drying functionality, and ventilation under normal working conditions.
